Discovery of Water Jump in Torreilles

Do you know the water jump? Practiced in water, this sport consists of slides, jumps and tricks of all kinds. It is increasingly popular with thrill seekers. For a breathtaking moment, come and practice it at the Frenzy Palace, the Torreilles water jump park located near Perpignan.

What is water jump?

The water jump initially allowed skiers to practice freestyle skiing safely regardless of the season thanks to an easier landing in a body of water after sliding down a ramp or a springboard. The sport involves gaining momentum on a ramp to soar through the air and perform multiple acrobatic tricks before landing in the water. Today, the activity is practiced as well in roller skating, cycling, skateboarding, snowboarding or even buoy. To practice it safely, wearing a life jacket and a helmet is mandatory. The water jump is for all audiences, adults and children, young and old alike.

The Frenzy Palace was designed by the Frenzy Factory in 2013. The latter now creates water parks all over the world, offering the possibility of personalizing each project as much as possible. Over 4000 m², the Torreilles park offers a variety of attractions rich in sensations. From the age of 5, your children can discover slip’n fly, buoy, bodyboard and big air bag and from 7 years, slip’n fly Xtrem, ski and snowboard, bike and skate. Throw yourself on the slopes, jump on the springboards by performing acrobatic figures and finally dive with delight in water heated to 28 ° C.

Alongside these many activities, the Torreilles park also hosts the Frenzy best tricks. Riders, amateurs and professionals alike, coming from 5 continents, compete for a place on the podium. Three categories are represented: road (skate, scooter, bicycle, roller), snow (snowboard, ski) and slip’n slide (glide on the body). On skis, snowboards, scooters, slip’n flys, watch back and forth somersaults and spectacular aerial figures on BMX or skate.

Everyone can freely attend this sporting competition which offers a splendid demonstration to the sound of the DJ who gives rhythm to the figures. Meanwhile, why not sip a refreshing cocktail or treat yourself to a snack? The park restaurant offers drinks, ice cream, smoothies and delicious full meals to invigorate the stomachs.

• June: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, June 1, 2, 8, 16, 23 and 30 and from 10 a.m. to midnight on June 15, 22 and 29;
• July and August: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily except Saturdays; Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to midnight;
